Brandon joined Camp La Junta in the fall of 2024. With an extensive background in camping, he grew up in Boy Scouts and worked at Camp Lonehollow as a Division Director and Crew Leader throughout college. Originally from Friendswood, Brandon graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s in Recreation, Park and Tourism Science, focusing on Youth Development. He is also an alumnus of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. After college, Brandon served as the Assistant Director of Camp Kubena before transitioning into consulting and guiding high adventure trips in the Rockies with his own company, Camp Ember. During this time, he also worked as a Lieutenant for Fayette County EMS. Ultimately, Brandon decided to return to his true passion—traditional Texas summer camping.

Brandon’s wife, Madison, is originally from Washington state and a graduate of the University of Washington. She is a special needs teacher and looks forward to working in one of the local school districts after completing her year at the Rosedale School in Austin.
